Never mind John, Tha can be Foggie Dewhurst an I'll be compo, then all we need is a Cleggy.
Margaret is already cast as Norah.
Ax Garrie if he'l do Cleggy
We can then do our own version of "Last of the Summer Wine".

A bit of a shame really as there are loads of actors on the soaps getting towards that age.

Think the series lost it's way after 'Compo' died , they brought his son but it didn't work for me , went from whimsical to just silly .
The two episodes covering 'Compo's death and funeral are an example of how good British television can be and what it is capable of if it tries .

Agree his son was a waste of space, couldn't act if he tried.
I like one of the spin offs, First of the Summer Wine, that didn't last long.
What Happened to the one with Thora Hurd as the funeral director, never been any repeats or owt, can't even remember which channel it was on.

By Crap you must mean Coronation St and all those other low I.Q. programs.
Any one who watches that stuff must be really mentally unhinged, is that old hag with the hairnet still in it, bit it paper mentioned some body had been in it for 50 years.

I'm glad it is being put out to grass. It has lost its way and no longer has the old magic.
Like others I think that it went downhill after Compo died.

I am sure we will be treated to endless repeats of the originals......but it should have stopped while it was at its peak.

Always disliked Last of.

Glad it's going.

Will stick with Corrie, and my other other low level IQ programmes.

Ena's still in it.

Though she's now in a relationship with Martha Longhurst, and they run women only survival courses, up on the Red Rec.

Not since Bobby, Minnie Caldwells cat, died.

After an accident with the tea urn.

I saw her in "The Snug" thought she looked upset, that explains it
