Irritating TV Adverts

Are there any TV adverts that irritate you? Its hard to put your finger on WHY they irritate you. They just do.

The one for a hair restorer where the dad comes home and tells his daughter he's going to need.....MORE TIES! is a case in point.

It irritates me no end. But why?:confused::confused::confused::confu sed::confused:

If it was the last advert EVER ! I wouldn't use it ! But it must have a knock on effect with other advertisers . People in their homes have the television on , soon as this advert comes on they press the mute button , so they are not watching and listening to the rest of the adverts that have cost thousands to make .! So do other advertisers have a case to take "go-Compare " to court ??

I hate with a passion the Kwikfit advert where he clicks his fingers and goes back in time..... Grrrrrrrr

.....then there is the Fabreze advert where mum tells her two sons to clean their car to go and meet grandma. The expressions on the two boys' faces when grandma asks if its a new car make you want to give them both a good slap......

Cashman that is what's irritating having to use the mute button...

That Fiat Evo ad is really irritating with the Faithless music to it.

I said this many times Barrie, every time the silly add comes on I shout at the box, then don't bloody use it you prat, people do have to take some responsibility for their own actions:(

That ad grows in you, but I don't think they have shown all of it - I've only heard the Boys are back in Town bit...

This is another great advert...

The Most important Invention of the 21st Century Advert, Ad - confused.com - Video Clip

This advert irritates the socks off me, not just because it's annoying but because it isn't accurate.

The internet isn't an invention of the 21st Century, it is an invention of the 20th Century and has been with us from it's infancy in 1969 through to what now exists.

Oct 29, 1969: Message sent from computer to computer in different locations.

1971: The first email was sent.

Jan 1, 1983: ARPANET adopted the standard TCP/IP protocol.

March 1989: Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web.

April 22, 1993: Mosaic became the first web browser.

The Kray twins gave Bill Murray £1,000, back in the 60's to pay for him to go to acting school! That's how he got his break - before that he was a boxer hanging round with the Kray's! Aparently!

The adverts annoying me at the moment are the ones which provide an over-romanticised picture of Christmas, like the Delia Smith ads and the Tesco (or is it ASDA) ones with the posh sister (Belcher?) and the bloke who wrapped his stomach in clingfilm in the Full Monty. The worst is probably the Jamie Oliver one , with everyone having a jolly jolly time in the snow, and Jamie bringing in the turkey to a cosy dining room with warm log fires.

Where is the reality of the rows, sulking, suffering of having to spend time with people you can't stand, and general arguing that goes with most family Christmases?

Or am I being too cynical? :(:(:(
