just watched a very interesting programme on bbc4 about bob monkhouse.very interesting and well worth a watch,goes back to when he was a stand up comedian through to his game show hosting.also gave insight about producing companies just dumping recordings of shows . the only way they survived to be watched today was bob monkhouse recording themand ,archiving them a genuis before his time:)

A friend of my dad was a naturist/nudist and told us that Bob Monkhouse was a member of a naturist club he had visited.

That sort of little fact never seems to surface in a biography.

could never take to the guy allways seemed a bit of a "slimey greasy type" , seems he spent some time in the US writing jokes for Bob Hope .... someone else I never liked ;) :D
