I like people watching....it is an interesting and illuminating pastime.......but BB isn't really people watching is it?
When you sit at a pavement cafe watching people(or in a pub for that matter) the people aren't aware that you are watching them....with BB, the people know they are being watched and this somehow skews the values of what they do........all the people who go into this show are wannabes. They want to be 'famous' without having to put the hard graft into it....and without having anything in the way of talent. It is also rather cruel the way the producers manipulate the housemates.
No......not my cup of tea at all.

After the anonymity of series one, when they didn't know if anyone was bothering to tune in, watching the desperate fight for 'fame' is part of the fun of viewing.

It's like Lord of the Flies, but with adult degenerates fighting for survival.

A cruel sport I enjoy spectating.

:D

A perfect example of Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle at work in that you cannot observe something without changing it.

The new series will be no better than the last, it has come too far.

if it wasnt for big brother we would never have got to experience the whole jade goodie experience from acting like a dirty slapper with her oral skills ,overhyped so called racism, her stupid tv shows, her awfull smelling perfume and her death splattered accross every tabloid paper and rag magazine month after month.

someone at channel 4 will burn in hell for that alone :D

I watch it with the same morbid curiosity that forces me to watch the early stages of X-factor; I suppose that makes me hypocritical if I call it awful TV. But it is :)

You'd be far better walking about with nails in your shoes at least when you take them of the pain stops:D

^ It's painful and hilarious in pretty equal measure though - a kind of 'so bad that it's good' situation.

I also find amusement in the way that the newspapers just drop them after they've served their time - used, abused and then just plain bemused.

If you want to talk about local politics you should start another thread.

Otherwise you'll be accused of thread wandering.
