BBC America

Considering how the BBC seems to love everything foreign and ethnic (got to have one in every program) seems a bit ironic that the new BBC advertising slogan/logo here in the US is ........ "We Speak English" ;)

When I was in the US a few years ago, BBC America was showing back to back episodes of Groundforce and Are You Being Served?

I think the American thought we Brits are obsessed with gardening and shopping in camp department stores!

Actually BBC America is a bit of a let down , re -runs of Star Trek 2nd generation, , which are shown on loads of US stations, the chef who swears a lot, Gordon Ramsey ? , guess the BBC think its cute for Americans to hear foul language in a British accent ... it's not (maybe someone at the BBC owns some of his shares (would say stock , but prefer OXO and Knorr ) ... yep and lots of re-runs of the pretentious tall guy who hates the US with his car program.. a typical southern ****** who I think if he ever had the nerve to enter an Accrington pub would be given a flat nose .

The 'southern ******' being Clarkson I presume.

The petitions to Number 10 are no longer available, and the reason given was misuse by petitions like that.

I am not a fan of his either, although some people find his insulting behaviour 'amusing'

To be quite honest SJ I don't like hearing foul language on TV either, that's probable why I've never watched this loud mouthed vulgar Jock, who incidental doesn't speak English either:rolleyes:

Don't be fooled by the accent - Clarkson's a Yorkshireman. At least hate him for the right reasons ;)
