Black & White or Colour

This weekend I again watched Casablanca, and I still rate it as one of the best films ever.If it was coloured would it still have the same appeal,I think it would lose the intensity. What do you think.

The thing that makes a good film is the plot and how it is portrayed.
It is an excellent film of it's period, full of intensity, if it had been made in colour that wouldn't have detracted from it.

I watched Scrooge in colour at Christmas with Alistair Simm, I prefer black and white films to be in black and white as they were originally.

I have seen the odd "coloured" film but the final effect is poor. Not realistic as the range of colour is limited - B&W is best left as it is for me -more atmospheric...

Great use of B&W in a modern film is in Schindler's list -the scene with the little girl in the red coat -Brilliant!
