As thrilling as watching bingo.

It's a programme that is killed stone dead in its tracks when the 250k goes. after that, its not worth watching!

My mum is a huge fan of it -can't ring her up when it's on or I get a running commentary.

All those inane comments...

She's so happy when they win too -just can't get it.

Is it on at the moment? If so i'll be subjected to it next week when I'm there, and Eggheads and Strictly come whatever ...torture!:D

Could not agree more, she had roughly a years Salary after tax from her winnings, nice though it is I had no idea college lecturers earns that much!

I have no time for the show

Reading that, I agree with the College.

If any of the rest of us applied for time off work, which was refused because there was no good reason, we'd abide by the decision or resign.

Her reasons for going, ie because she couldn't pass up the chance to win a life changing sum of money, diesn't hold water. She could use that excuse every time she fancied a trip to the local casino! Her chances would be better!

Well I've been on Brain of Britain and each show took around an hour max to record - in the evening. But imagine having to send SIX DAYS in the company of Noel Edmonds while they do his show - pass the sick bag!!

Don't mind Eggheads myself -it's the absolute necessity of fixing my day, every day, round these kind of programmes that blows my mind!

Will be in Tenerife John, could always just sit on the balcony in the sun while Noel Edmonds is on I suppose - what a sacrific!:D

It's taken them seven years to realise it, but (forgive the pun) the penny has finally dropped with the gaming authorities.

The only skill involved in Deal or No Deal is in Noel Edmonds' persuading the contestants the game is anything other than a complete gamble, and he's built a whole aura of smoke and mirrors around it. The death box, the curse of the newbie, the Governor 26,000, spank the banker, the 1p club, the power five etc etc etc.

The truth is that its no less of a gamble than the spin of a roulette wheel.

It cost's the contestant's nothing to play this game, only time off work, so it's not gambling in my eye's. I do hate it when they ask the opinion's of the other contestant's once they get an offer. Surely they must have an amount in their minds, what they would be happy to take home.
"your only here once" does this mean take it and run, or carry on to the end?
The programme should run for 30 minutes and not the 45, Noel does his best to make it more interesting, but he seem's have a negative result after he's spoken his word's of wisdom.

On Deal or No deal, they say "Well number 17 is a lucky number for me, so I'll get rid of it early on.":confused::confused::confused:

On Pointless, having already got through to the next round, and therefore able to give a risky answer and boost the jackpot, they say "I'll play safe on this one....":confused::confused:

On Eggheads, confronted with three possible answers to an obscure question about football, they think it is relevant to mention that they once went to a match........:confused::confused::confus ed:

....and did I hear right tonight when one of the contestants on Million Pound Drop, when given a choice of categories between Babies and Tennis, said "Well my friend had a baby......":confused::confused::confused:

Cease the puzzlement and confusion...use the handset and either change the channel to something you find more acceptable......or better yet use the OFF button.

Don't think his TV's got one - last thread he started he was complaining about not being able to watch suffering children on the news and I suggested the same...

To be honest 30 seconds is too long never mind 30 minutes
