Just a Minute!
Never thought Radio could transfer to the TV - but this week I've enjoyed watching Just a Minute on the Beeb.
Remember hearing in on the radio years ago - Nicholas Parsons is still presenting 45 years down the line. They have had some great panelists this week and it is very entertaining. Giles Brandreth actually mentioned "Accrington in Lancashire" on the subject of "Cobblers" this afternoon - said his family came from there -then added it was a load of cobblers!!:D Only complaint -there is no display showing the points each participant has. |
Re: Just a Minute!
As soon as I heard the words Nicolas Parsons, it was accy web at 6pm instead of 6-30PM:D

Hitch Hikers transferred & so did the Archers, no hang on it was an ITV rip off, Emmerdale Farm.

I rather like Nicholas Parsons - he has a sly sense of humour and is very quick for his age. Not stupid at all, it's not easy to mediate people like Stephen Fry and Julian Cleary for example and get laughs. They are very strong personalities and it takes a serious professional to work with them. Love his old fashioned stripy blazers too.:D

A BOOK? I'll have you know Madam that Hitch Hikers wasn't A book! It was a trilogy in four parts! |

I was waiting for her to come back with, "five actually", then I was going to hit her with the sixth book, because that's the heaviest and the only one I have in hardback! :) P.S. I even have the hhg adventure game for the PC, how sad is that? (a great game though). |

I see that there is now a hardback omnibus edition of the first five - that must be pretty heavy! Great series from a great man, greatly missed. |

As for weight Jay, it's free postage so I don't care, you can't prop up a wobbly table with an online book when you've read it. ;) |
