Re: BBC programming
I watched the BBC Breakfast News yesterday and it was wall to wall Olympic Games Torch arriving on our shores, from 6am to 9am, even though there was a bit of a conference going on in America:rolleyes:

Re: BBC programming
Daytime television has never exactly set the world alight, it has always been filler material, but give me Auntie Beeb anyday. The BBC, love it or loathe it, set the standard that all others aim for.
'Yeah, but I never listen to BBC radio or watch any of their programmes!' Maybe not, but the commercial sector has to produce something that will stop you from doing that and keep the quality up to an acceptable level. I'm afraid all arguments against the licence fee always end up being pointed in the same direction - America. If you think that we're wall-to-wall with adverts at the moment try their abysmal system. |
Re: BBC programming
Pity the standards lowered significantly oer the years.

the telly doesnt go on till about 8pm ... very rarely it goes on before that .... when im in charge of the remote that is ... anyway id still have the bbc as it is rather than them getting adverts .. adverts drive me nuts .. and maybe if we didnt pay the licence fee then we wouldnt have things like planets earth ...
