Britains Got Talent

I`m sure there are are loads on here who don`t watch BGT, but the silouette act ( Attraction ) that`s just been on was amazing, had me in tears.

I admit, there are a lot of acts not from Britain, but you`d need a heart of stone not to be moved by that tonight.

I would like Attraction to win too. .They are so unique and so very very clever.Thought the blonde girl would have got through. She was far better than the boy from Ireland in my opinion. I also dont think the way they put the 2nd act through is fair. What is the point of people voting if the panel can vote off the act who came 2nd in the viewers votes. It is all a money making con of the telephone companies.

I think if it`s close as to who is best, they vote 2/2, then the act with most votes goes through.

Re: Britains Got Talent

the only thing with this program is,it is called britains got talent, so why do they put on their program idiots who have been obviously vetted, and sound like a cat being strangled or a child wanting pity,or someone so old and daft, they just make fools of themselves,i know television sells, but surely there must be better tryers than half the acts that only show themselves up, I try not to watch it purely for that reason.

I totally agree, they spoil it, and like I said, don`t normally watch programs like this, but the exceptional acts make it worthwhile,

errr, Les Dawson was making no headway till he got on Opportunity knocks according to the "Audience with" thing at the weekend

goes to show there is a need for programmes of this type, no matter how much you hate Mr C... and lets face it its a bit of the British disease that we seem to like to hate successful people rather than celebrate their success as good for Britain

janloot 03-06-2013 16:20

Re: Britains Got Talent

successful people, or artists are worth listening to, my gripe with the program in question is the rubbish acts they put on obviously thinking its funny, the show is called "britains got talent" not britains full of idiots,

I was always a great Les Dawson fan, But disagree it don't show me theres a need fer tripe like those shows, It does show he got his break through one thats all. I firmly believe it would have happened anyway,a bit later probably, but the guy was too talented not to make it.

I get that there are lots who, for whatever reason, don`t like BGT, the thread wasn`t about the actual program, it was about one act on the program - Attraction. Whether you like the program or not, they are well worth a look. Video is in post No.9 and is based on the life of one of the performers. It was amazing and sad at the same time.

I don't watch the program, but there was a 14 year old disabled lad on BBC Breakfast this morning, who's in the final as a comedian, he was brilliant, a star in the making

Speaking of bad Pianist's.........
Morecambe and Wise - Andre Previn (The full sketch) - YouTube

So a television show called Britain's got Talent is now a talent show for anyone outside of Britain.
I must admit I enjoyed the egg throwing scene, watched on the news this morning...:egged::D

Vintage M & W :D
Can't see the egg-throwing unfortunately-great pubblicity stunt for Mr. Cowell.
We have "Italy's Got talent" over here and one of the best acts on last time round were two British guys "Faces of Disco" -i have looked them up and they were on BGT in 2009!!! There were also a pair of Spanish gypsies and numerous other contestants who were not Italian...I wouldn't be surprised if some acts do the rounds of Europe.

Yes but all the 3 performances they did were all very similar and the last one was basically just like a travel brochure for Great Britain - propaganda! It's all got very predictable - the 2 welsh opera singers deserved to have eggs slung during their performance.

Mmm in two minds about that - it poses the question that now every disabled person must bear the brunt of taking jokes about disability now. Though this kid takes it with a pinch of salt perhaps others may not - and should they be expected to? Note that is a question not a statement (jaysay)

I agree, I thought the performance in the final was a bit boring and didn`t deserve to win, my post was about there second performance.:)

i read that this years winners had entered the german and another countries vesion of this show and failed to get past the auditions

they are good act so i am assuming these countries that didnt let them through were a bit more fussy about where the acts were from and thought they should be from where the show said it was getting its talent from

Yep I agree! the first performance was unique - the 2nd one didn't surpass it and the 3rd questionable. Too easy to please! ;)
