Memorable lines

I like to think I’m a bit of a film buff…as much at home with the latest Marvel release as I am with Bette Davies, Clint Eastwood or Laurel and Hardy.

Every Christmas I watch a couple of Will Hay films and of course the mandatory Alastair Sim version of Scrooge.

On Reddit this week there has been a fascinating thread about which line from a film was the most memorable and why? I’m talking about a line that caused a reaction while you watched the film that made you say ‘oh yeah’, ‘kill him’, made your throat tighten or brought a tear to your eye.

For me….

'Top of the world Ma'…..from Cagney in White Heat
'On your left'..from Avengers Endgame
'I will find you'..from Last of The Mohicans

And the one that gets me every single time, even though I know its coming it makes me weep buckets..the last scene in Saving Private Ryan..’Tell me I’ve been a good man’

So anyone else?

Quote:

Silent movie only word spoken
Marcel Marceau reprises his "walking into the wind" routine while trying to lift a phone. He then shouts the only spoken word of the film: "Non!"
How did he remember such a tough speech?
