I'm finishing off backups today so there will be another few hours slowdown this morning.....

Are you still doing the back ups Roy? its seems terribly slow today, sometimes I cant change pages it just hangs, thought it was my PC but just tried the laptop and its the same on there, all other sites seem OK

I've just struggled getting on accyweb for the last 20mins.. all other sites on same server working fine. I'm investigating now...

I've just rebuilt the database tables and optimized them... I'm slightly reluctant to believe that this was causing the problem but we will see :)

It does seem to have gone Ok before then it starts again, 1st time it happened to me I thought it was because I had updated Mozilla, I then tried on my laptop with the old version and that was the same.
So far so good though, fingers X'd
I think there has been something with the PM's as well, when I try and send one it just hangs or refreshes the page, I think it has happened to others as well because 2 people have sent me messages and they have come twice, i think they must have pressed the send button again when it happened

I have IE not working at all and firefox woring perfectly with the defauilt style... above.

I just tried it with Avant (which is IE) and it works but is a bit on the slow side, no problem with Mozilla

I have only just logged on......it seems better today than yesterday.
I gave up last night, it was so slow.......yet everything else was OK.

It was a script trying to access a third party server which is currently down. The worst thing is my boradband is currently playing up like mad and I keep being reconnected and disconnected....grrrrrr

I have also been sending messages twice and sometimes I have typed out a post, then lost it. I thought it was just me, as I have just installed new software and thought I'd cocked it up. The site seems to be running better this morning though.:D

I have had problems recently with posting. I hit the send button (post quick reply, normallly) and it makes you think it hasn't responded, so you hit it again and you then get the duplicate post within 5 minutes message.

General page turnover has improved this morning

its still happening! if i try and put an attachment on something i have to repost about 3 times it seems so slow as to what it was!

i just tried to post on here and all it said was server cannot be found so i am trying again but this time i will copy what i have put down to save me typing it out again.

All good fun eh? I've tweaked the server a bit so things should be better now... hehe.. this week has been a nightmare with this server, everything comes in one go eh! :)
