Oh dear we got hacked!! Thanks to flashchat our server got took over so we have been down for a few days whilst I found time to recover! Unfortunately I am currently in Siberia (russia) so it is not exactly easy to find a good t'internet connection to sort these things out in a timely manner! Anyway... aside from the odd extra feature we are now back and running...

There are lots of missing smileys and attachments which will be restored when I next get some time.

If anyone ever meets a belgium hacker, just give him a slight knock on the head with a hammer or any other implement that may render him/her unconscious.

Sorry mick, but that would show up in google and I don't want further problems, to them we are nothing and they only found us due to the bugged script i was running - however, if we actually mention them then they may try harder!

Thanks Roy, your a star!!!! Its good to be home it was very cold for a while on that refugee boat of Rindy's especially when he booted us all off!! But Tinks tights kept us warm!!!

It's a pain when stuff like this happens,it happened to Blackpoolweb a couple of months ago but we managed to get everything back within an hour.

Hackers want putting up against the wall and shooting,they spoil it for thousands of online communities everyday!

Grrrr this flecking hacker better watch their back & balls cos when i get hold of the git[s] their balls are going to be spiked on the towns border as a stark bloody warning!!! I can so understand how Roy feels [altho he is a lot more techy than me] post hacker probs for me have effected links to both sites i link to from here, yesterday quiz & tried to get to my community website & encountered the same problem again - so had to sort that out [thanks to entwisi yesterday was much easier to sort the prob :D] But it doesn't half pee you off when they choose to mess a forum up - why? & for what purpose who knows but they better not cross me lol

Cheeky so & so's lol, lucky my sites are remotely hosted & their server does all the security - all the hackers done is effect the links on mine so had to go back thro dns or thro sites main page to relocate & refresh my links - small but still a pain in the arse:rolleyes:

I was lucky when it happened to mine that i had someone that went into the database and took out all the php files the hacker had put in there..........still time consuming though!!

I run my own servers, all security is done by me, so it is my mistake when things like this happen, so you obviously don't really have a clue how this works...! And when things go wrong I am in the ****, accyweb, is malinky!!

You need to take a break! Don't want to come accross as a brown noser (it's one of my pet hates) but we appreciate how much you do for this forum Roy, I've said before I'll say it again it must seem like a thankless task at times.

not that its important but i cannot understand why hackers descend on a local forum?:confused: can see why the bast**** attack banking,investment sites,cos theres summat to gain, but what gain is to be had from hacking accyweb?:confused: all it does is cause grief for the poor sod that owns/runs the site to me. thanks for everything roy anyway.

Why do kids scratch cars or throw stones at windows.. same answer.. buggered if I know what that is.. but same answer.

Some have websites and they take snapshots of the site hacked to show others who do the same.

Some are just scripts sent out onto the internet.. Once a vulrability is known its easy enough to make a script that goes out and searches for websites with that software and hacks them auto..

I made a bot-spider once.. sent it out into the internet to find info on a given subject.. within minutes I overloaded my database.... I love the whole concept of spiders and bots.. especially the film and telly versions hehe :)

Have you noticed all the idiot posts are now in feedback & suggestions instead of being elsewhere. Didnt want to type **** because you never know they might just latch onto it. Noticed though thats where they are all posted since we been hacked.
