New Record for the Accyweb?

Surely that can't be right....or is it!

According to the statistics, there was a record 502 members and guests viewing at 08:09 this morning Monday 13th December. Strange time and day to break the viewing record

502 people that were delaying going back to work on a Monday morning perhaps?

Nope, I was at work, I'd already done an hour.

You misunderstand Melmo, the actual membership numbers far exceed that. This was merely the number of people all looking at the site at the same time.

I think also on tuesday morning that we had 300+ guest viewers. I wasn't on the site that early on monday, but I thought it was a hell of a lot of guests for a tuesday too.:D

Nope.. These are genuine figures. We aren't even on the shiny new server yet! The record shows the actual number of machines with seperate IP addresses browsing our website at that time.

But I thought the 'we are on the move' thread was the warning and the news that we had moved?

He has taken a leaf out of hyndburn lites book..... all singing, all dancing, brand new, moving........ it means this is what we would do if we hadn't used the money for too many Office parties!

It was a warning that we where going to move.... As moving creates downtime. But I ended up tweaking mysql(database) on the old server and bringing server loads down to an acceptable level, thus we did not have to move! Thus no downtime.... :)
