Buddy List/Ignore List

What do they do? And do the people that you've put on either list know that they're a buddy or being ignored?

Ok folks I just tried it out. I added Gayle to my ignore list. Where she had posted in this thread it did not put her post. Instead it said

Quote:

Gayle This message is hidden because Gayle is on your ignore list.

When I took her off my ignore list all her posts appeared again.

Re: Buddy List/Ignore List

That's something I've never even thought about because I wouldn't choose to ignore anyone or single anyone out as a particular buddy. I've tended to regard everyone the same way.

Buddy list adds a + sign to their name in the whos online bit on the main forum page. Not sure what else it does really

Re: Buddy List/Ignore List

If you ignore someones posts you might miss the really important bit in a thread. Can you imagine what the whole Moorhead School thread would have been like without Kipax's posts? There'd just have been a load of people arguing against nothing. Could have got a bit surreal.

Re: Buddy List/Ignore List

I dont think you should ignore anyones posts, the threads just wouldn't make sense and you could miss so much, but I suppose if a member chooses to ignore then they know that already.

I am too nosey to put anyone on my ignore list.....I would just hate to miss anything....in fact if I could be in two places at once well, it would be brilliant.

Re: Buddy List/Ignore List

You can on Accy Web. If you go in the chat room you can still stay on the threads and chat in both places.

Oh Gayle.....not me, I have only been in the Chatroom once......I sort of fell in there. I couldn't follow what was going on.....by the time I had answered someone they had moved on to the next topic......I was dizzy with it.
I can't type fast enough to keep up.

You mean like those threads where people go back and edit their posts to:

.................................................. ..... ?

I can't help being curious about what they said in the first place.
