New Posts Go Missing

Whenever I reply in a post then hit the new posts button, the topic I have just posted on is not listed, as anyone else noticed this?
Also when I create a new thread its not listed until someone else posts in it.
Neither appear under the heading "The threads below have not been updated since your last visit but still contain unread posts" either

Just tested with this post and it's not showing but it does in the "Today's posts"

Yeh ive noticed that too so i dont press new posts i press the todays posts instead which will bring all new posts up anyway at top

Well to put the test further I kept hitting the "new posts" and nothing shown up until you posted, i'll see if it goes again now!

New posts shows you the new posts that you haven't posted in. Todays posts will show you the ones you have posted in. It's just a case of finding which button suits you best to use :)

New Posts, actually properly really works now - whereas before it did not. New Posts will show you only new posts that you have not read. If you have just posted in a thread, you've obviously read it. It wont show you that post again until someone else posts in it.
New Posts also now remembers which posts you haven't read even if you log off and come back the next day.
