I suppose I could join to find out what this is and how popular it is but the title is off-putting. Can someone enlighten me please. I would hate (wouldn't I?) if this was a swingers group.:Banane13:

Recently we have had a few complaints about items in the Anything Goes section. Of course we are a family site, but us adults do have a sense of humour as well. Myself and the moderators have been discussing an over 18s section for people who are obviously over 18 and don't mind having a bit of a laugh..
This does not exist yet, but I am setting up the mechanisms to make it viable. We still haven't come to a final decision on whether or not to go ahead with it, so perhaps here is somewhere that you can let us know how you feel about it....

The expat forum I am a member of for Moscow has an over 18s section and it works really well.

It won't be a problem for me being in my twenties still but, some people may lie about their age. Have you had any ideas on how to vet people Roy? Will there be any restrictions at all? My only concern is that with my shy, reserved and easily offended nature I may be out of place in there. I would try it and if it's not for me stay out, like most sensible adults would.

Well a lot of people know each other and other known members will probably be able to vouch for each other. Entry to the group will be moderated and notes made as to who invited and vouched for you. Obviously the easiest way to gain entrance is to be known and come and visit one of the meets.. This is of course a problem with overseas users, but I am sure we can work something out.
It will not be completely anything goes, although it will be a place for the more adult jokes and conversations. There will be a warning that if you are easily offended then it is best to not join the group at all. Racist jokes etc. will not be tolerated.

Think it's a great idea, it has been discussed at one of the meets but it was ages ago. I think those who are easily offended are better off not joining ( I have tons of lovely jokes that I've been saving for an adult portion of the site.:D ). I would hate to think that somebody would be offended by a rude joke, well ruder than my anything goes jokes..... then go reporting the posts. I think that if you join the adult part of the site it should be under the condition that if the content offends, tough.....

I'm a member of some other forums with an adult section, it's mainly used for rude jokes and for women to post pictures of their boobies!

What's new there then?

Perhaps the ruder members amongst you will now leave the main forums for the more sensible of us, freer of innuendo.;)

With me being one of the members on here that is a little on the sensitive side and quite easily offended :unsure8: I think it's a great idea to have an over 18's section ...... Just one thing though ....... HURRY UP ROY! :D

As i said our forum has an adults section roy but without the password and vetting. It gets used for adult jokes but also for discussions about prostitutes etc. it works well and keeps the open forums clear of childish adult stuff. We of course don't allow hard core pornography and swearing in our forum though, and don't mind being called childish or immature, members are allowed free speach and opinions as long as they don't post racism, derogatory abusive comments, or slag off local businesses based only on their opinions, hardcore, child, animal, snuff porn etc.

Thanks for the neg karma, 'slimey!!!' yes well at least im honest,speak my mind even if it was said tongue in cheak and put my name on karma. good you've actually got the guts to comment on what ive said, shame you havent got enough to put your name to it. and annoying that you gave me reason to post!
by the way, its not meant as an insult its a tongue in cheek criticism of the threads/posts at that time, which was generally correct at that time, in my opinion.
