Editing a post

:p Just noticed the question whilst editing a post 'Reason for editing post'. Well, usually because I have made a spelling, grammatical error, technical error, realise could be misunderstood, but in general if I had let it go on, would probably have made a complete plonker of myself.

May I ask the powers that be ... Why you askin' ?

Its there so that if you so desired you can let everyone know why you have edited you post. For example, adding a link, removing a link/ picture, spelling…. just about anything really. Most don’t bother with it, so really it’s your choice.

OK .. so just read a thread from a couple of years hence where Doug appeared to be the 'King of the Editing' and was up for criticism .. reasons expressed were as mine. So why bother in the first place to ask this question ?? Just that, on face value, to a reasonably newby like me, smacks of big brother. Gonna edit this and put in a reason to see what you on about.

Apology for misunderstanding yer nosey question.:)

Well, nowt profound there then ... tee hee.

I should also have mentioned that it also enables an option for a moderator to leave a reason for moderating a post.
