Just like to say how much I am enjoying visiting this site!!
I am a Londoner born and bred and live now in Kent, But I had the good fortune to marry a girl from Hapton 21yrs ago so I have come to love Accrington and love to hear the tales etc about the town.
This is the most user friendly site that I have ever used.

Hi Owd_Bert...Not Sheppy but Dartford, You know when you tell people down south that you come from Accrington they always shout ACCRINGTON STANLEY!
at yer... well when I say Dartford I get THE DARTFORD TUNNEL!
I was up in Accrington only last week visiting the inlaws at Hapton with my wife and daughter in tow, we went to winfields at Haslingdon for some trainers £25-00..CBS (Bargain Crazy) in town got some great stuff in the rumage corner £12-50 and then finished it all off on Bank Holiday Monday at Oswaldtwistle Mill....We have`nt bothered with that for a while because we thought it was still small so you can imagine the surprise when we saw how big its grown, :o I hear that they have bought more land to expand the car park.
I`ll keep checking in.....ALFEE

I just found this site by accident today and only got half way through it at present still reading what everyone has put. At the risk of sounding chessy I got to say I am fair impress with it so far.
