I have already been looking into a chat feature. But how many sites do you come across with chat rooms that are permanently empty? I don't think we have enough regular users on this site yet to make good use of it, but you never know so I will try to get it working..

Re: Chat Room

A Chatroom can kill off a messageboard that isn't mega busy.  If everyone went into the chatroom for an hour one night they would say all they wanted to say and leave nothing to post on the messageboard.

Chatrooms work on very busy sites.. Not on quiet ones. Just an opinion of course. Chat rooms are good fun and I have nothing against them  ;)

Indeed - the reason why I didn't put one on before.  Anyway, I have a chat installed and working but I am going to leave it out until there are more active users or until more people request it!

Re: Chat Room

I know, it's a shame. I am looking into an alternative. A shout box on the front page that everyone looks at and you don't have to log into. That might work a bit better, as everyone who logs in can join in without having to enter the chat room.

Hi, dr lick & welcome to the site, I hope you have a good time here once you've found your way about. There are plenty of people that come on site that will help to look after you.

Nobody has been in there for a coon's age ... probably filthy. We should send a couple of the girls in to clean up, once they have done the ironing.:D Suggest it to Marg. P, I'm sure she'd be impressed with the idea:rolleyes::D

I'll leave that to you.

Though do you really feel the Atlantic ocean is any sort of safety barrier?

No one forced you all to strip bare arse naked.

If I'd told you to jump in the canal would you?

Well yes, you all probably would have done.

That's down to the power of love...and the Rasputin style hold I have over people.

I've great faith in the Atlantic ... after all, the Channel has kept the Krauts, Frogs, and Spics out of England for centuries:D .... with a little help from the Navy of course.;) Anyway, I don't think that this is the kind of thread she will read. Hopefully, housework will keep her occupied:D And I've no intention of rattling her cage. That would be akin to the Japs bombing Pearl:eek:
