Blank Screen After Posting
I have noticed that I very often get the black screen after posting when my post is the first post of a new page in the thread. There must be some code that adds your post to the end of the page you posted on without refreshing the whole page like it used too.
Maybe someone with the right access level could check what happens when it decides your post will be the first on the new page. |
Re: Blank Screen After Posting
I get that too every time it's a fresh page. the only way out of it is to press go or click on a menu or different page.
Hopefully roy will update soon, the new forum software is fast and doesn't stick at all. |

Re: Blank Screen After Posting
Mine goes purple but that's because I've done some fiddling with the colours.

Re: Blank Screen After Posting
It may be an intermittent fault, software/server? I just done a couple of tests with the option of 5 posts per page and it appeared fine.
As a rule I have my option set at 30 posts per page, the default setting is 15. You can change this option to what ever you like by going into your user cp and select Edit Options --> “Number of Posts to show Per Page” it’s a long shot but you never know, maybe something is tripping up on a certain value worth a try for the time being. :idunno: :) |

Re: Blank Screen After Posting
Just a thought. Are other people getting the same thing? On seeing the blank white screen click back then submit the post again causing a double post.

Re: Blank Screen After Posting
Just testing with this post to see what happens.

Re: posts per page
You can alter the amount of posts per page or see how many posts per page in user panel > options.
Mines running at 50 posts per page at the moment:D |
Re: posts per page

Re: Blank Screen After Posting
It sometimes happens to me so what I do if I think it's happened is copy the text in the post (just in case - i.e. highlight it and ctrl-c) then go to New Posts and usually it's there. If it's not I paste the text in to the box and post again.
It only seems to happen to me when it's a particularly long post and I've taken time writing it. If it's a short one it doesn't seem to matter where in the thread it is. |

Re: Blank Screen After Posting
I don't think its accyweb, I think it's the actuall software burnley used to do it before neal upgraded, so do several other forums on v bulletin. The new release is very smooth and very fast.

Re: posts per page
I also have 100 to a page, it is a nuisance on the odd occasion when a thread gets to 98 and you have to scroll through :p
|
Re: posts per page
I have mine set to 10 a page because the scrolling through was driving me mad.

Re: posts per page
i started using that too, I never bothered till it was pointed out on here but its very useful. I keep forgeting about the end key, its page down on here.
What I do miss is my 5 button trackball, I never have been able to find one in uk, by the time I have, the obligatory 6 months will be up and I'll have got round to fixing the old one. |
Re: posts per page
Another option on a wheel mouse is some you can press the wheel down then just move the mouse down a touch and it will auto scroll
