I've analysed when I get the blank page thing
It only seems to happen when my post would be the first one on a new page. It doesn't take me to that new page. I just get the blank, but then if I back track and refresh it shows there being a new page and when I go onto it my post is there.

Re: I've analysed when I get the blank page thing
Thats what I found a while ago. Len suggested I change the number of posts per page displayed so it happened less often. Don't do a refresh, I have found that sometimes it posts the message again. Just check if the post posted in a new tab or window.
I never refresh if I get the white page and I never get double post's. I did some tests a few weeks back and found I could make it double post if I refreshed and if I clicked the post button again when it was being slow. So if you click post and it looks like it does not work, go and check the threab again in another tab/window. |

I didn't refresh the blank page, I went back with my back button to the point before I'd posted and then refreshed that page.

Re: I've analysed when I get the blank page thing
I think most double posts are due to refrehing and clicking the post button more than once when things are being slow. I am surprised the forum software does not disable the post button once you have pressed it.

Re: I've analysed when I get the blank page thing
I think you're probably right. Apart from the day I got about a dozen posts appearing one after the other and I swear I clicked only once and didn't even get the blank page - but that was before we all went on holiday to Tiswasland.
