Deleted posts.
Not causing trouble, as before I've been told to pm a mod if I have a query, but I'm just curious.
If a post was deleted, in a thread that already has had lots of wanderings in it, and certainly wasn't offensive, why would it be deleted? It would be courteous to pm to explain, as has happened in the past. It wasn't actually myself that spotted it, but the person after who had replied to me. Confused. If we don't know what we are doing wrong, how can we stop repeating those mistakes in the future? |
Re: Deleted posts.
Cause 'apparently' we were baiting! No qualms with answering back to authority anymore either ;) if others get away with murder, we all can :D Anarchy on accyweb

Re: Deleted posts.
It was me who asked rindy - i'll admit it. There was nothing offensive in it - well not in my mind anyway. Can I ask why it was deleted or was it just a block deletion?

Re: Deleted posts.
I wasn't baiting him.:(
He wouldn't have fit on my hook anyway.;) |

Re: Deleted posts.
I wasnt baiting him - i've made sure i stayed out of that thread for that reason. I just replied to rindy! People know i dont get on with him and so i've stayed clear after sticking my twopennorth in.

Re: Deleted posts.
To me it just smacks of favouritism, then again I'm getting quite used to that. :(

Re: Deleted posts.
Do you know, the thing that gets me is that in another thread we can have 15 pages of another member giving grief but you can bet your bottom dollar this thread will be gone by tomorrow morning ;)

How a child can get away with throwing his dummy out of the pram bacause he can't get what he wants but we as a forum aren't allowed to defend against his moaning ad gripeing about this forum is beyond me! I swear I throw my hands up in disbelief! :dunno: |
Re: Deleted posts.
I wondered this the other day actually. I remember posting in hatters thread about him spouting off in chat rooms about 30'something women acting like 3 year olds. Hmmmmm when looked other day it had been deleted. Now that was the only post I had posted in that thread, and it still got deleted.
Maybe the whole thing should be deleted!! if it's down to baiting. |

Re: Deleted posts.
At least it's not just me then. I posted in that thread the other day & it was deleted. Len sent me a PM to explain why. I later posted, what i thought was a relevent comment in the same thread, & that was also deleted. needless to say, i haven't posted in that thread again.

Re: Deleted posts.
In fairness to Len, the explaination he gave me was fair. However there were a lot worse comments left on the thread.

My post was actually answering something that hatter had wrote!! so therefore was NOT off topic, I HAD answered a question and I wasn't nasty about it ( which was good for me where hatter is concered). Oh well the mind boggles. |
Re: Deleted posts.
I actually thought that my second post that was deleted, was one of the more relevent on the entire thread.
 |
Re: Deleted posts.
Taken from another thread but I think the wording of this post is quite apt for this thread also

Re: Deleted posts.
That thread you are talking about had obviously got out of hand as you’ve seen. We need to get it back in order and if this means we have to remove any chat/ Provocation posts then so be it. Obviously we are not going to delete posts that have already been made as people will start to moan, as here. But from now on we will.
