Submitting Replies
Having a problem at the moment trying to rply to threads.I.E if my reply is one word of few letters,say 5,then microsoft internet explorer tells me my reply is too short & must be of at least 10 characters in length.This is only happening now & then as i have replied with 8 or so letters.Can anyone help?Cheers

I usually just put a few full stops at the end, that seems to sort it for me.

The forums have a minimum limit as to how many characters you must add into a post before you are actually allowed too post it and the limits are set at 10. This means that if you try to post something that only contains one or two words and the total words don’t contain more than ten letters in them then you will shown this message
” The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 10 characters.” There are ways round this as mentioned above which is ok for the games forum and perhaps anything goes but to be honest, if replying to a topic in one of the more serious forums, general chat etc then a more substantial post would be appreciated. Appreciated by everyone because it is most annoying when you have to scroll through columns of practically empty posts, posts that contain such as, me too….. ok….., rubbish….. etc etc. Besides all that there’s a good chance such posts could be merged together or even deleted as junk. :) |
