Re: This could be important!
If we are talking about gondola here then lets say it out loud. I don't hide behind any false walls and neither should this forum. I may not agree with anything or everything he has to say but i will defend his right to reveal any TRUTHFUL items that we the voting public should know.
In the run up to the local elections we the voting public have a right to know what the people we are expecting to represent us are up to. If it takes a posting on a web forum to do that then I'm all for it and I doubt anyone in their right mind would disagree after all what is there that is hidden that we shouldn't know about? The beauty of posting on what is clearly a 'politically independant' forum is that everyone has a right to defend themselves from anything that is posted. Silence in this instance is deafening by its inference. |

As an un-biased on looker to the thread I read no such things from you or any other member from accyweb. All I read was someone trying to 'big himself up' as being someone in the 'know'. I don't fall for this need for anonimity crap, if he has a tale to tell just tell it! People gain alot more respect for standing up for what they believe in ... as shows with Claire Pritchard. |

Re: This could be important!
Less,
A serious question..............has there been some kind of complaint??? In all honesty its a forum of public opinion:confused: surely as has been the case that inappropiate posts are removed as our mods are on the ball & if any such breach of libel/slander etc then forum rules are usually applied, in a court of law public forum point of views would surely be considered 'hearsay' unless backed by matter of fact:confused: I cant see whether having the standard text sig would make that much of a difference & in lets say opinated posting usually come under 'i think'.... 'IMHO' 'IMO' etc would cover the same as....after all its an opinion not a fact unless expressed so:confused: If its regarding said member as mentioned then maybe applying forum rules cover it, in order to protect accyweb as entwisi said ban/warn etc if the members intentions are not best for accyweb or discussion. |
Re: This could be important!
Your probably right Mel, but on the other hand I can understand Less's un-ease at someone using accyweb to blatantly stir up trouble.

Seems to me that this member has changed the protocol of this forum un neccessarily, which to my point of view is to the sole members favour - not to accywebs - just look at the pandamonum he has caused just by putting the standard text sig, seems that this member has now delighted in making his point without having to ermmm do so:rolleyes: except a load of hot air. |
Re: This could be important!
LOL! Or the mods could arrange a special little text sig for Mr Gondola saying "Approach with extreme caution" :D

Either he reveals something or he doesn't. If he does its either truthful or not, the former should be public, the latter can be removed at request(and I would beg to add proof it is not true) by the mods. |

Re: This could be important!
I asked people to put the disclaimer on only as temporary measure, Mick has now put an updated disclaimer on that should cover the site.
http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=29681 So our signatures can go back to normal thanks. In fact if they like the mods can now close this thread as it is no longer needed and we can perhaps get back to normal.:) |

Re: This could be important!
Could the moderators not just automatically incoporate the disclaimer statement text into everybody's signature?
 |
Re: This could be important!
I wondered why everyone had the same signature:D
