site down/extremely slow
 

I am getting many reports of the site being down/slow. When I access everything seems to be ok, but i access in the middle of the night when the web traffic is slightly less and no-one else is trying to look at accyweb. The problems include the front page taking forever to load and the forum being only slightly faster... but slower than the old one. Please let me know if it is a big problem. If it continues to be a problem then the site will need to be moved to another server (which is waiting and available for the transfer) but this will take approx 3 days to carry out and the site will be down for that long. I don't have time to do it this week so just report here if your having problems and I'll decide what action to take and when.

Haven't had any problems so far and have been accessing during the day.

I find the site to be a lot slower than the last one roy.

the whole computer system was slower yesterday ( virus about) but yes this is slightly slower but i can put up with that carry on roy :thumbsup:

yup definatly slower and I'm on what we call high speed internet over here. have had quite a few problems with it timing out while accessing threads

No problems at my end at all Roy.

im really stuggling half the time i cant get on.
when i do get on and want to reply or im its says web site not responding
most of the time.could this have something to do with aol as i use them

no im on bt broadband had trouble all afternoon & it took 20mins to tell me that it coulnt find server
ive sent roy an e-mail

I have viewed the site from different locations during the day and night using a broadband connection and all was fine.

i am on ntl 600k broadband and had so much troubble getting on the other day it would not let me on at all had to log on at night to check everything its so slow ok at night though but its normally during the day you need a fast responce not at night
is there a big company on the same server useing the resorces ?

Problems all the time. Half the time I can't even get on, and when I do, I have problems getting on to threads.

i know what cazzer means you can sometimes get on the site ok
but when you go to a topic or to repley or IM then it takes ages to respond

yup - tis the server - another company has a very large database on it and it seems to be accessed a lot during UK daytime hours... I shall be moving to my lancashireweb server next week
