why are lots of old threads appearing as new ones?

i am a bit confused - the last post isnt a recent one - yet the dates on the posts throughout the thread (although in order) dont seem to have chronological dates.

is it s glitch ?
or am i missing something ?

Is it a thread with a poll? If someone votes in a poll the thread pops up as new even if there are no new posts.

duh well for a start forget the dates eing in the wrong order - they arent lol!

another reason they appear is someone thinking of starting a thread, does a search to see if its already been done, to save starting a new thread. if it has then they post on it, could be 2/3 yrs since the one before, done it meself lately, should always check,but forget most of the time.;)
