how does this work exactly, if you choose to ignore someone and put them on your ignore list....what happens?:rolleyes:

From what I gather, and from other forums, if ya ignore someone, ya don't see any of their posts and they can no longer contact you.

From experience on other forums you can put them on ignore and not see their posts and they wont be able to PM you. There was a 'peek' function on the forum I used so then u could see ignored peoples posts if you wanted to without unignoring them.

It tends to get a bit tedious if they're a regular poster because the threads start to lack sense, and I believe that if someone quotes the person your ignoring it might show what your ignored person said anyway, depends how well the ignore system is on the forum.

It's too much hassle to actually ignore someone in my opinion, unless the hassle is via PM, but alot of forums dont alert you when someone you have on ignore has tried to PM you so you might miss something you wanted to know too.

No they have to ignore you for that.

I guess it'd be a good idea if you could black them from seeing your own posts but then it always leaves them open to being talked about maliciously and they wouldnt be able to defend themselves so it wouldn't really be ethical.
