Is it me, or has the time just recently been changed to GMT +1 ... sure was GMT only this weekend. Been adding on an hour to postings today, thought time was flying ..

Haha .. well, if you look at the time you posted today, shows the correct time, has been showing Greenwich Mean time, which is an hour prior to British Summer time ... oh hek, getting in a tangle ...try this :-

What is GMT?

Thank you my friends for questioning my sanity ... :D:D

I know I am correct here ... if you look at the home page at the very bottom is now stating GMT +1 (which is the correct time for us now), but am positive was not this on Friday, was still GMT. Remember looking at Grannyclaret's post for White Rabbits to see how quick off the mark she had been and definitely showed 23.03. Honest..LOL. All the back posts have been automatically corrected too.

Thank you Leslie ... didn't realise could do that ... must read things more.....HOWEVER, have not been fiddling around with mine, and still showing GMT option on my options, not GMT +1 ....

Hang on, just taken another look at the 'Automatically detect DST' ... therefore, should it adjust to our area then to correct time ... but have never altered this.

Don't worry your little head about it.

I do understand, it's because this isn't a soft toy or a fluffy little animal you can't fit it into your life experiences.

:hidewall:

Hate stuffed toys anyway.... :p Cheeky 'b'

Bet lots of people didn't know this. Anyway, being serious again  Do you think setting it on 'automatically detects' will have its glitches and slips now and then ? Would I not be better putting it on 'always on' ?

Does it work like a radio clock or summat ?

Basically it gets it's time from your computers clock, the idea behind the option to change it is so that, if say you lived in a different time zone, e.g. La, La, Land, but post regularly on accyweb, you can syncronise your accyweb pages to the rest of us i.e. Gmt or BST so that your posts have the same time stamp as anyone else.

Now, just because I've been a little bit nice to you today doesn't mean you have to stop trolling over any of the threads I post, I know it's the only enjoyment you get these days so I don't want to deprive you.

Just use this before you log on it may calm you down a little.:D

Well, this happens to be my thread ... :p

You didn't actually answer my question though did you ... where's that nice man Mick when he is needed ?

At least you didn't add 'op' to the spray, must be grateful for that .. :D

Yes I did answer it, but without trying to make it too complicated for you.

I know you started this thread but I didn't want to put you under any pressure that might change you from the person we all know and love (sic), so I mentioned it here.

I wouldn't add 'op' to it, I have the greatest respect for 'op's'.

Haven't been trying to hurt you katex, just been having a bit of light banter that's all, perhaps that paranoi you accused me of having is catching?

Glad to see your now happy with the clock situation.

I know Less .... just love your sarcastic wit ... and recognise it as that .. LOL. Just wish I was as good at it. Need a few lessons from Slinks and Tinks ... they are brilliant.

I've just altered the clock back to 1952, and the steak I was planning to eat tonight has disappeared from the fridge.

Is this the result of rationing?

Oh No! rindy what have you done? you do realise that in 48 years all the planes will fall out of the sky, trains will crash, industry will grind to a halt and all because you've re-introduced the Y2K bug.

Even worse, we will have to go through the 70's fashion all over again.

It's worse than that.

I forgot to tick the A.D. box, and where the fridge was is a stone circle.:D

Well that takes care of people feeling guilty about wearing fur, 'cos the ones that stick with their conscience will freeze to death.

OK ... to bring this thread to a conclusion and summary then:-

When logged in, you can set the time to whatever you want (within the multiple choice of your options)

Logged out ... GMT appears to be the default time. At the mo. one hour behind BST, so that is where I had seen it. Pat meself on the back for being observant .. :p

Anyone agree, my observations have been helpful, and don't tell me you haven't looked. There are 136 viewings, mind you probably breaks down as follows :-

100 ... Kate
20 ... Less
2 .. Flashy
1 .. Bernadette
5 .. Garinda.
----
128 in total.
===

So , 8 left with an opinion ... LOL.

It’s always shown one hour earlier when yer not logged in, whether it’s posts or hoverin yer mouse over folks names to see when they were last on line etc. When ya log in the time is as it should be…least that’s how its always worked for me.:)
