O.K. as a few of you know I like to develop and extend a little bit of what happened to me in anything goes,

I'm busy at the moment thinking yep' Micks 'photo comp' is popular, why not have a story comp'?

No I don't mean like when you attended school, (occasionally), do me a tale of XXX words about how you spent your summer holidays.

It can be long or short, spelling and grammar don't come into it, just your idea of a story, ANYTHING to do with the subject! Then the winner does similar to the photo competition and names the next subject and we start again.

For the first subject I propose 'anything', after that we leave it to the winner, the way we do it needs to be discussed so the more suggestions the better it's going to be, then when we are all happy, all we have to do is dump it on Mick, (his shoulders aren't broad but this is something he can easily take on board).

Not something I would partake in due to lack of time and imagination, but I'm sure there will be a few who relish the idea. Anything positive that gets rid of the current negativity and anger on Accyweb gets my vote. :alright:

Actually think the original idea was/is a good one. We have some cracking reads in the Blogs, some happy, some sad but all worth reading. No doubt this idea could take off;)

How about "The Most Stupid Thing I Ever Did?" Could be something inoccent or something really outrageous, obviously nothing to rude because we don't want to end up in over eighteens:)

At the mo' all I'm trying for is suggestions of how the comp' could be run fairly, in another thread I did suggest that the first subject would be 'anything', and that after that the winner chooses a subject to match their own imagination.

So thank you Bernie, for a sensible contribution but until we put in some ground rules that make it fair for all to enter, we shouldn't progress to the start.:D

just a suggestion seeing as i think there would be some very good tales produced, what about the winner being picked by all who attend the get together/meet obviously before the "slaughtered" stage, that way differant people would be judging it?

I great thought, but who would read them out? I know that I can type what I do on a keyboard but I would shy away if I had to stand up and read it out!

I think a nice and anonymous way of voting on what is read on site along the fashion of voting for pictures in the gallery, may encourage more participants.

Perhaps if Gayles yearly awards ever got to being done at the meets we could consider the best of the best to be read by a guest speaker?
