What am I doing wrong
 

I thought I had cracked putting photos on here but the last two I've tried I've used the same method, the image appears in the dialog box in draft format, but when I hit the post button to insert it on the thread, just a little box with a red x in appears, I've noticed this has happened to others as well lately, where am i going wrong:confused:

It depends on, where you are trying to upload to, (there is a problem with the gallery at the moment), what type of pic the photo is, (.jpg .png etc).
If however you are trying to link the pic from another site, then there are other problems that can occur, a bit more info would help.

Ah Less I ain't a clue mate, I wanted a picture of a bucket and spade so I googled it, there was a picture, did what I've done before, went to my post box clicked insert image, deleted http;// from the box, pasted my link and clicked okay, it appeared in the dialog box. but when I hit the post button it was just a square with a red cross in it where the pic should have been. I'd say I was pulling my hair out but I ain't got that much:confused::confused::confused:

In that case, working on the information you have given me, I would say your piece of string is dry, you have two alternatives:-
1/ take the string with you next time you go the toilet and wet it.
B) give us some sort of clue.
OR
I'd forgotten there is an or, unplug your computer, put it in the box it came in, send it back to the manufacturer and in future write to people if you must make contact.

Trying to upload a photo, from my computer, but it keeps telling me its an invalid file, Ive done lots of these befor why wont it do it now. Help.

Where are you trying to upload to the gallery or a thread ?
what is the file format your using jpeg png gif ?

Bmp isn't a valid format, below are the ones allowed:-


Valid file extensions: doc gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png psd swf tiff txt zip
