Wonder if anybody else have this problem, it doesn't happen on every thread just occasionally. I always us the new post at the top when I log on, when I click on some threads a click the last unread post, it goes straight to the last post, this morning it actually missed a couple of pages, any one else finds this happening:confused:

Just clicked on it John and you was the only one there so went to the back button and everything came up.

Its happened again this morning, I went on the Royal Wedding thread and when I clicked on last unread post it went to the last post, posted on the thread, it only missed 4 pages and 60 odd posts:confused::confused:

I suspect you mean the 'first unread post' - or do you?

We have enough people who very publicly do the I am leaving because blah blah blah only to quietly come back later, it is so pathetic. If you want to go off for a while or forever just go quietly and save making yourself look stupid :D

Oh I love the theatricality of those teary final goodbyes...and their dramatic returns.

Some members have had more come backs than Burly Chassis.

I'm a sucker for a drama, and always give them a standing ovation, on their returns.

That will give you something to do on a cold wet evening, search for all the goodbye threads. Post the leaving speech and a link to the thread and we can have a vote on a winner. Maybe the winner could have an embarrassing crimson colour name for a while :D

As yet nobody has come up with an answer to my admittedly badly worded question not even the mods, Does this happen to anybody else, when on the first post of any thread when you click on the first unread post, on some threads it actually goes to the last post submitted, yesterday I did it and it skipped about 60 posts:confused::confused::confused:

Varies Neil yesterday it was the Royal Wedding thread, but it happens quite often, with different threads, luckily nothing has happened on any thread I've been on today so far

Well the answer to both questions is no, I haven't clicked the mark all forums as read and I don't drink these days, Had one glass of whiskey on saturday that's all, and it did it again tonight on the Royal wedding thread again

Its just on one thread Neil, I've never marked post as read well I don't think I have, but it skipped 20 odd pages again when I logged onto the Royal Wedding Poll thread, just that thread no other, there must be a reason:confused::confused:

That wedding poll thread does that for me too, and I am one who uses 'mark forums read' several times a day to get rid of Stanley section postings.

agree with Jaysay , it does seem to be happening a lot recently , seems to come in waves , no rhyme nor reason , you can go weeks with going to last 'unread' with no problem , last few days it seems every second or third thread I click onto takes me to the 'last post' instead of 'last unread'

When you log on to any thread Gordon, on the first post top left hand corner it says go to first unread post, which means new posts added since you last read the thread Gordon, that's why a brought this up , whats been happening is the when I've clicked this link instead of going to the last unread post is gone to the last pose in the thread, meaning in some cases its skipped as many as 20 posts, but this only happens on certain threads not every one, hope that helps

Non so blind! Thanks, jaysay, I don't know how I missed that. I spent ages trawling through to find where I was up to and all the time the answer was there. It's an age thing I suppose.
