Poll threads that resurrect themselves

Early this morning I noticed a few very ancient poll threads had self resurrected overnight, when no post had been added and votes long since closed.

Has Roy been tinkering again?

I thought all poll threads had a date for closing automatically:confused:
The threads I saw were from 2007/8 - hardly likely to be still open.

I dislike poll threads anyway. They show as having new posts when they haven't - a nuisance.

The rules say this:

Quote:

21:All Polls put on this site must have a closing date and not left open indefinitely
Which is why I close them when I see them.
