Help I'm being Accy Spammed!!!
 
Hello Me and Grannyclaret like posting on Accy web:) but we keep getting spammed by Accy e-mails! I got 39 e-mails G.C got 70!:eek: they say things like someone as posted on a post you posted on:confused: ,are we being un-friendly or is this a mistake? I find it funny but my e-mail post box is getting swamped! What can we do? thanks Wayne and Grannyclaret:)

Go to your Profile then to e-mail and change the settings

You need to unsubscribe to the threads that you have posted in.

To do this, go to the threads were you made your posts and click on the “threads tool” button located on the bar above the posts. Then click on the” unsubscribe to thread” button. By doing this the next time someone makes a post in that thread you will not be sent a notification e-mail.
You can also unsubscribe to threads in your control panel as mick suggested

that sounds whats happening Len, but we don't want to be un-friendly so I'll try that,it may take sometime as I'm a spanner with pc's and the kids are not here to help us!

I have just realized that you can actually unsubscribe to a thread using the e-mail you have receive by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the e-mail.

Unless you're on aol which doesn't support the link. You can still cut and paste it in the browser bar though.

:confused: So far I've managed to delete old threads I've posted on,I found a long list of them:) but I can't find how to un-subscribe in my profile thingy! Thanks for the assits folks we can do this without the help of Smug smurf kids:p who can do pc stuff we can't! like Granny's 7year old grand daughter!

Go into your profile and down the left hand side you'll see a Control Panel. In there click on "Edit Options"

In the window which opens up look for the section under the heading "Messages & Notification" and the bit which says "Default Thread Subscription".

Just click on the arrow to select the alternative you prefer and then go down to the bottom and click "Save Changes"

Thanks alot folks,I think that with your help :) I've sorted it!!! I hate asking smug kids who can do stuff like that in about 30seconds flat! anyway thanks again,we can now post without getting Accy Spam!!!!:D
