Introduction
Hello All,
My family (HERD and GILLETTE) was from Clayton-le-Moors back in the mid-1800's. An online friend from years ago, Su Armitage, who used to have the website www.accynet had helped me out with a lot of local Accy photography, in exchange for me hosting some webfiles for her. Walter Holmes, also of Accy, was a great help with some research. Haven't found Su's website anymore and was wondering if she has another. Would like to hear from Walter as well. Would be really nice to hear from any "cousins" in Accy (HERD / GILLETTE) or Yorkshire (spelled HIRD there). Cheers from the USA. Dave |

Re: Introduction
I don't know what happened to su. She did join us here and posted once or twice but then disappeared. She had recently had a baby and maybe this took up all of her web time. Anyway, she didn't renew her website accy.net and someone else bought the domain so unfortunately it is no more. You can access some of the old website by using the wayback when machine - http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.accy.net

Re: Introduction
That wayback when machine is great! Although I couldn't find the text descriptions of the photos that she had shot for me, I WAS able to find how one of my old websites (www.the-hurds.com) looked before I got divorced and let it go the way of the doodoo. :)
