Re: new to site
Hello Steeljack. I used to work at the old TSB in church and we had a lot of Rothwell's employees as our customers.
Funny little branch that was. The cellar flooded unless we had a pump going permanently. The gas meter was down there and one day the gas man called to read the meter when there was a power cut. We advised him not to go down as the pump wouldn't be working but he said he'd be OK because he had his torch. He encountered water about 4 steps up from the bottom but slipped on the step and ended up sitting at the bottom with just his head above water!! I bet he wished he'd listened to us. :D (Apologies to mods for thread wander.) |
