Greetings from Brisbane
 

Greetings from Brisbane Australia........I migrated there from Accy in 1970 and was recently in Accy on a visit to UK....lots of things changed since my last visit in 1995.....and my visit in 1984.......hell of a lot more since my departure in 1970.....Was showing my Australian fiancee the sites of my youth and bringing back wonderful memories.......shame to see my old school...Accrington Grammar in Blackburn Rd is no longer there....but she loved the town ....esp the market hall....and is in love with the Ribble Valley and Yorkshire Dales......nothing like that out here......My old home adress was in Marsden Street.......sadly the chippy at end of street gone...lol...even the old Odeon Theatre disappeared....still cherish the memories of the Saturday morning movies...3 stooges,laurel and hardy,flash gordon and shirley temple movies.....lol.......love to hear from anyone who wants to reminisce about the old days.......

I used to live up Riley's Hill....but that is in the dim and distant past.....and believe it or not my baby sisterlives in Brisbane....well, Wynnum West actually. Welcome and happy posting!
