from australia
Hi my name is Marion Parr
(walsh) mirated to australia in 1968. The sister of Ian Walsh alias Maverick. I was introduced to this site by Bernadette my lovely sister-in-law. I would like to thank all the lovely people who wrote in about my brother. I was so pleased to have seen him earlier this year on my visit back home. It was a great comfort to know that he had so many friends. If any of my old school friends etc would like to contact me thay can do so through this site. I used to attend Hyndburn Park. Went dancing at Knowlmere Street and of course Joe Morts. The good old days (well I think so). Of course my grandchildren (13 of them) think I am an ancient relic because I tell them of the milkman coming with a horse and cart, the coal being delivered by men carrying sacks. Lots of other things we of a certain age remember. I will say G'Day for now. Cheers littlepom. |
Re: from australia
Hello Marion and welcome to AccyWeb. My daughter is currently doing work placement at Hyndburn Park and loving it.
Your brother, known to us as Ianto, was well liked by many of us. We used to have some great discussions, never quite coming to blows ;) and ending up with a virtual cuddle. :) I hope you'll enjoy being a member here and pop back to discuss things with us anytime. |
Re: from australia
Hiya Marion just got a shock reading that. Hope you enjoy accyweb as much as me and your little bro.

Welcome littlepom, and steady with the 'old' thing, I remember the milk and the coal horses, and when the binman would run after the dustcart with 2 heavy metal bins thrown over his shoulders! I was about 10 the last I can remember! lol |
Re: from australia
