Huya my name is Iggy, is there any kids who want to talk about stuff that bothers them? I am 8yrs old. I play guitar and go to cubs. I like Yui Gi o cards and Beyblades. I have a little brother and a big sister. I have a dog and a cat and two gold fish. We had another gold fish but it died.

ok Iggy is my son and yes he does spell that well, why???? because he has parents who are interested in his education. How horrible of you! Luke and Josh will both vouch for him and how clever he is!!! So nah! Iggy's mum (Oh and we did have a goldfish that died!)
p.s. thank you Josh and Luke's dad for being a love and mowing our lawn!

oh I'm upset now...Iggy's Mum back again!!...As for you Mez...didn't you learn anything of English grammar when attended school??? its, "write and spell that WELL" not good...criticise my son why don't you...if I was a cat I'd have my claws out about now!!!

Hello Iggy and Iggy's mum and a big welcome to you.. :wave8: You will find that we are a friendly site, but being a mum you will understand the concerns that we have when we get children on our site. We do welcome children, but it is important that we keep our child members safe from nasty people on the internet who may have other intentions. If someone posts on here as a child, and their spelling/grammar is too good then people are going to be suspicious. Those suspicions will quite rightly be voiced because, lets face it, we can't afford not to. Now that we know that Iggy has help from his mum and is actually 8 years old (and not somebody pretending to be) then we can help look out for him.

Hope this clears up any misunderstandings... :)

You can't jump to assumptions and demand somebody is banned if they haven't done anything to cause them to be banned. There's no way anyone can know how old or even what gender someone is when they haven't met in person.

Iggy I can't afford a pet yet. I don't have much money left. I'll have to earn a bit more.

IggyWiggy is a nice young lad who lives 3 doors away from me is 8 yrs oldand can spell very well and would not lie. He is a friend of my 8yr old son LUKE who comes on here (you can check his spelling if you like)

COME on this is the INTRODUCE yourself section. 8yr old might be a bit more excitable than us older ones, and possibily post a bit silly sometimes but surely we can be understanding.

My 8yr old loves it............ :) :) :)

I think I can understand some people's concern because it isn't unknown for dubious adults to pretend to be children and ask other children online to contact them.

When someone is unknown to the moderators in person they are wise to err on the side of caution in this day and age. It's just unfortunate that we live in such times.

How exactly would you like them to prove it Matthew? I think it's great that an 8 year old has some help on a site like this from his mum, who is obviously looking out for him. Remember that he is only a child and from time to time will need assistance. His spelling and grammar are very good for his age, so were mine and there's nothing wrong with that, in fact he should be commended for it. :)
I am all for you voicing your suspicions and agree that children especially can be put in dangerous situations via the internet, but this issue was dealt with on the first and second pages of this thread and quite frankly is getting really old....


May I also add that your spelling and grammar is good for a 13 year old these days. :D

I was born june 10th 1996 in Scottsdale Arizona. Me and my dad and my brother are American but I don't have an American accent anymore. We would like to go back but there is no point because all our family come to visit us here. My uncle is coming to see us on monday and I can't wait.

It doesn't look like IggyWiggy has been back since the rather stern telling off by one of the moderators which is a pity.

Is there really any need for such a strict attitude to rules? As a message board owner myself I feel that a little gentle encouragement goes a long way to put a new member at ease. We joke about thread wandering. After all normal conversations tend to go off at a tangent more often than not don't they?

I appreciate your desire to keep forums and threads on topic but surely a message board is about encouraging happy members? It's not so much the desire to keep things on topic as the way in which this youngster was told that I am querying.

I'm sure it was all a misunderstanding and that people were (silently) looking out for you and for other children like you.
