new in accy
im from halifax and moved to accy last xmas. people say there is a difference beteen cent fromaccy and ossy and clayton. is this true and whats differneces? i cant tell.

hello and welcome, it is very difficult to pick out the different accents as so many people have moved all round the Accrington area, no-one seems to stay in their birth area anymore

i'm from Accrington originally but i've been in Blackburn for the last 13 years, people in Blackburn say my accent is very different to theirs but i dont think it is, i wouldnt say Claytoners speak and different to people in Ossy....i have quite a few mates in Clayton and they all sound the same as my mates in Accy |

You need a trained ear but there's a definate difference!!! Helps if you were born local I think to distinguish.
