Hi from fatman (steve)
Hi all i been on cb on and off since 1981, fave rig back then was a cobra 148gtldx.
Amp was a b300p for mobile and a bremi brl200 for homebase. Had various aerials up including clr2 vector 4000 cirio 2012 and a few others, oh and a 3 element beam. My other half back then was Ollie birdy (lorraine) we no longer together but still in regular contact. Fave mode was ssb fm still gets on my wick but i do still use it. my latest rig is a ranger 6900f25. Its ok but had also a licoln about 4 ranger 2950 s and god knows how many other rigs.... Im now licenced for the ham bands but still use cb for mobile every day. |
Re: Hi from fatman (steve)
I wonder what your Ham call sign is Steve, mine is G0JSA and have been licensed since 1983, first as class B then the A license in 1987.
Hope to hear you on GB3RF or PF in the future. Oh, and welcome to the forum. |

Re: Hi from fatman (steve)
My Father in Law was really big into the Ham radio over here in USA before he past away a few years back. He would be talking to someone halfway way across the world and you think they were next door.
