hi folks i'm heh jimmy i lived, worked & socialsed in accrington and oswaldtwistle tthroughout the sixties and loved it i can identify with some of the posts i have read

hope you get this reply I,m a late starter to internet technology I was lodging at the royal oak for about 3years the couple that ran the pub was Norman & rose,I had previous lodgings @stanley st & wordsworth rd and much later I stayed at hope st accrington, worked at jim ashcroft car sales along from church the barges wre still using the canal then in 62 also a underlay factory not far frm the royal oak,I also spent 3 years at east lancs shopfitters, had a fantastic teen and plus years socialising around hope your not sorry you asked

Hi Ossy, hope that was enjoyable for you, we're just back from Cyprus a few days ago, I forgot to take my driving licence which did'nt really bother me untill we found the busses were on strike, but we still got about by taxi sharing which was even better than the bus
Thats quite a while you have been in Canada with a good span of working years, did you go as a family or other
I would be interested to hear of your early years in ossie, ie where you worked/socialised ect
