hi everyone, just a quick one to say hello and introduce myself. I am a local urban explorer interested in the history of the local area, especially anything underground. see you all soon

Yes Mog you got paid to do it. I used to do it for pleasure;) Oh yes and the caving groupies up the Dales. :D

Regarding being paid all depends on if it was a living wage or just existing on it. Regarding Caving, wasnt it Ingleton caves in the sixties where all the nice young ladies used to go as well. I got very well paid for my caving.

Urban or whatever you want to be called, What are you interested in ( Underground ) Is it Cellars, Quarries,Coal Mines, Graves, Water and Gas pipes or just with a metal detector. Give us a clue.

hi mog, mostly i do stone mines, adits, culverts and drains. i'll have ago at most underground places except sewers, really dont like the idea of sewers for obvious reasons

I am a bit confused with your wording mate. What do you mean when you say you do stone mines etc. Do you go climbing rock face or do you go down old and unused mine Adits or what. Give us another clue can you other than you will have a go at most underground places. The only stone mines I know about are quarries. But then again I only worked in coal mines. Mog.

Have you been up the bricked tunnel under Madder Mill Wood (at the back of the Dunkenhalgh) caveman?
That can be mighty spooky in the flickering light of a carbide lamp. :cool:
