Hi everybody, Thanks for all the replys to my first posting,
I still havent heard from anybody that knew me when I was
young [er] but I am still hoping. My maiden name was Dorothy
Jones. We have two boys Stephen and Terry they both went
to St Oswalds and then Steve spent a year at St Marys College
before we came over here to Canada. One of Terrys friends
was called Steven Ball [Butch] and Stephens friends were
Mark Allenby and Mick Gudgen. they are the only ones that I
remember. So I thought maybe someone will remember them.
I hope every one enjoys thos site as much as I do.

It was a trip down memory lane. We had so much fun we booked
again for 2006. We stayed in a fantastic hotel [TIFFANYS] if anyone gets
the chance you should check it out . I had better make this short as it is
getting pretty late. I hope to hear from someone soon.

Hello Dorothy....welcome to Accyweb. Maybe you know my mother.....Dorothy Duxbury. We lived on top of Riley's Hill. I would've only been a kidlidid in the fifties.....but I used to play on Marsden St.....by the smoothing iron. Glad you enjoyed your visit.

Hi Dorothy, did Steven Ball ( butch ) live on Hyndburn Road, if he did then he was a friend of my brothers ( Steven Edmundson ) I also knew Mick Gudgeon, but have not seen him since I was at school ( Hollins )

[quote=mez]hi, dorothy welcome & i hope you enjoy the site, do you mean the "empire" up oswaldtwistle by any chance i used to go there, great place to go, wasnt allowed to go up " morts,[/quote

I used to go to the Empire as well, also Jo Morts ... they used to have two big brown dogs to welcome you at the top of the stairs. Best memory there was the flooring, had put a covering over the wood floors, but it bubbled up and you sure used to rock, roll and bounce.
