Tremellen Street

My brother in Worcester tells me that Accrington has a Tremellen Street. Can anyone tell me how this street got its name? Thanks from Montreal, Canada

Welcome to the site Stvalier, I believe Tremellen Street is named after an associate of one of Steiner family. It still exists and is supposed to be up for refurbishment.

Thanks Doug - my brother thinks it was named after the town where the mills did businees but there is n o Tremellen Town that I know of. How does the name Tremellen relate to the Steiner family? Thanks Lawson Tremellen, Montreal.
