Help .......mince Pies.
 

i need help in tracing a cafe'..........its got to be one that sells the most unusual mince pies.......my friend & i had one of these confections in a cafe the other week & blow me down can we remember where?...........the base is pastry .. the filling is mincemeat..... the "lid" is a light sponge .. they are terrific ....honest but we have racked our brains & cannot remember where we had them. ........HELP.

OK .. let's take it slowly then to help you remember .. which town was it in ?
Was it a handsome young waiter who served you or pleasant Saturday girl?
Naked Place ... eeek where's that ?? Cross of list anyway.
Benches or chairs ?
Cost loads of money or good value for money ??
Wine or coffee with beautiful confectionary ?
Were you looking out of a window when eating or huddled in a corner ?
Were the other customers Yorkie lorry drivers or smart business men (must 'av noticed the men).
Try and narrow down your search a little, will get there in the end. They sound wonderful anyway, will come with you when you have the answer.

My mum makes them at Christmas time and on the top of the sponge bit there is icing and coconut, they are disgusting!! sometimes insted of mince filling she puts jam in....they are disgusting too!! Apparantley they are known as cheescakes? but we are weird southeners and you probably call them something else like...........'disgusting'.... so my input has been completely useless!! Hey ho!!

Yeh, Mez, driving me crazy keep looking to see if you have remembered !! Hurry up !
Talking of mince pies, came back on the train from Manchester after night out with the ladies. As we were approaching Blackburn, the staff came round with FREE mince pies. Helped soak up the Bacardi and Coke I can tell you. They were good too. :)

Was it SOUP! I know that sounds a bit daft but the shop called SOUP in Warner St is doing some extra special mince pies at the moment.

well how daft do i feel:eek: mick was right all along:o it is the cafe' in the arcade ...i was with mick & sarah .... now im convinced im going senile....ok ok don't all jump on the band wagon i know!!! but lets face it .. my mate doreen really a lot worse than me (he he he ).... sorry micheal for doubting you :p

iwas with sarah yesterday & she said it was her ....ooooo please don't confuse me anymore... i really did think ...it was ellie when we were in cafe on thursday ...o help // am i loosing what bit of memory i had .or is it the aliens again !!! gremlins about .gremlins about..
