Any chance of posting a picture , I cant see from here. At a guess, they're moons, although I've not seen any made by the major manufacturers.

I think the councillor that saw the lights mentioned was wired to the moon at the time which is why they were bought for accy town centre !!!

They must be bananas they seem to hang from a branch. Perhaps they represent Peter Brickthick.
Anyone seen anything of the traditional christmas crib this year?

I had a good look at them this afternoon, they aren't.

According to EEC regulations they are too bent to be bananas.

I thought they looked ok, if a little sparse.

What else can they be but bananas???
I don't see what bananas have to do with christmas though.
They are to bent to be candle flames and moons would be a bit heathen for christmas lights wouldn't they?

Thanks WillowTheWisp, they must have only just put the crib there, it wasn't there last Sat.

I've just seen the offending lights tonight and they certainly do look like bananas. However, a friend said they are supposed to be crescent moons. Personally, I hope they are supposed to be bananas, a much more interesting thing than stoopid moons.

You know what! I cant think of one single christmas carol that mentions crescent moons!
Perhaps there is a gap in the market for a new christmas single.
Come on you Accy lyricists give it a try.

Re: accringtons x-mas bananas christmas lights

Yes, well, I have seen moons, but only with stars, or a moon with snow flakes falling above trees, but I've never seen moons under branches, which makes it look like they're bananas. That frame would normaly be supplied with a bstar or bauble there to look like an ornament on the branch. I say we should call them bananas.
