I can't go back to the 1920s, but I lived on Whalley Road in the late 1940s. I regularly walked from town to the hospital and that phrase "bryn tirion" vaguely rings a bell. Could it simply have been the name of a house? Many houses on Whalley Road were known by their names.

My God! My first post . . . . . after all this time.

er . . . . . Hi all!

Hi exaccyman

thanks for that it could be a large house maybe as my grandma was a servant there before she married my grandad william and I have been researching my family tree.

nice to get a message from someone.
