I don't have any rellies in Australia but I do have friends there. A couple of colleagues moved out there this year, one to Melbourne and one to Brisbane. My step-brother is supposed to be moving to Brisbane in July, he currently lives in Auckland.
I am looking forward to visiting Oz at the end of December. I have only ever transitted in Oz while waiting for flights to NZ. As they don't give you an Australia visa for transit you can't leave the airport. The airports are nice though...:D

i have a cousin in victoria, but i have visited my friend who lives just outside sydney, in winston hills .not too far from the lovely blue mountains .

Back in 1967 our family emigrated to Au. We stayed at Unanderra Hostel, Wollongong NSW for nearly 2.5 years. We returned to the UK in November 1973.

I have a brother in Bass Hill, Sydney.......A sister in Wynnum, near Brisbane....I have a niece in the outskirts of Wodonga......A nephew in Melbourne....I have a great niece and a great nephew in Melbourne.......and am soon to have a great-great nephew or niece.......not sure which sex yet.
I have visited Oz many times over the last 10 years...but I am currently banned...oh it is a long story. Suffice it to say that I told the Immigration authorities 'I am a tourist - not a terrorist'

You know, I think these days quite a lot of people have relatives down-under as it’s no big deal in getting there apart from the red tape that is. It’s only a couple of days flying. A few years ago it was quite an undertaking as it involved a five or six week voyage to the other side of the world. But having said that, the cost of the voyage for my parents was £20.00 as they where passage assisted ( £10.00 poms). It wasn’t that easy to pop over and visit.
Newly arrived migrants would be housed in temporary accommodation, migrant Hostels and there where many of these all over the Au.

i have relllies in australia
quite a big family actually
they all live in western austraila
which is a wonderful state
perth an albany to be exact
i've been there three times an it is one off the best places I've ever been
i can say this cause I'm very fortunate in that the job
i have allows me to travel the world installing machines
an I've worked pretty much every were
but australia is fantastic
in fact the people there are so laid back
there may as well be horizontal
i would love to live there
in fact i may just end updoing that
very soon

Got cousins in Adelaide,SA and cousins in Port Augusta, SA and visit them regularly. for those who haven't been to Oz - I can personally recommend it. Have visited South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales - got to do Western Australia and Northern Territories.

I can vouch for Perth I have Been here for the last 17 years, and it is easy to visit nowadays my mother in law has just had her 10th visit and is coming again next year and she in her late 70s .
Perth is the most isolated city in the world, the nearest capital city is Singapore
