Badminton
 

Hi,

Does anyoen know of any friendly badminton clubs in the area? I've been playing for a couple of years and noe moved back up to accy so need a new club.

no ideas then :-)

If anyone is interested I found something called social badminton at Shadsworth sports centre. It's on on Sunday's between 11am and 1pm. Just turn up and play.

Could you not get in touch with Hyndburn Sports Centre and see what League(s) they run?

Im sure they would give you a list of teams in their League and the relevant Club Secretary's Details.    :)

Also try www.thisislancashire.co.uk then click on the option Communigate down the left hand side.

Once you have loaded up Communigate there is an option called Sports Clubs & Associations if you click on that it will bring up a list of sports which includes Badminton i think

here's another one then and I know for a FACT that there's a badminton section.

www.sportslinks.info

You select either Badminton or I think Lancashire - either way its easy to sort once your on the site.

as I said I have the sort of club on a sunday, sadly the net is proving fruitless. I have found the lancashire badminton site www.badmintonworld.co.uk I think which is pretty poor.

i remember when i was sorting my football club out that i went onto www.ask.co.uk and type in the relevant information which is how I found the sportslinks website.

would it be worth trying that and typing in badminton clubs in Lancashire and seeing what the search engine came up with?

done that as well, it seems that the good badminton players of lancashire haven't woken up to the net :-( So the plan is to try and exrtact information from the people at Shadsworth on Sunday.

Cant believe there isnt more information on the net - what a complete waste.
